Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enroll my child?

If space is available, a $100 registration fee will hold a spot for your child for thirty days. Upon enrollment there is a two week deposit and the initial tuition payment due. If there is no space available, you may ask to be added to the waiting list.

How much is tuition?

  • Full time tuition for preschool, pre-k and kindergarten students: $1100.00 per month (includes all days in the month) or $275.00 per week (includes all days in the week).
  • Part time tuition (3 full days or 5 half days): $950.00 per month (includes all days in the month) or $237.50 per week (includes all days in the week)

How is tuition paid?

Tuition may be paid either monthly or weekly. Payment methods include cash, check or money order. Tuition is due on the last day of the preceding month or week. (January 31 for February/Friday for the upcoming week).

What about tuition when my child is absent from school?

Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. Tuition continues through illness, vacation and school closures.

What time does school open and close?

The operating hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

Children are not required to be potty trained until three years of age. CWK will assist in potty training children under three.

What about holidays?

CWK is closed on all legal holidays and Good Friday. Tuition continues through all holidays.

Is school closed at any other times?

There is a winter vacation from Christmas Eve until the day after New Year’s Day. Tuition continues through this closure.

Are there any clothing requirements?

Students are required to wear a uniform during the school year Monday through Thursday. Every Friday is a free dress day. Uniforms are not required during the summer session.

CWK students are required to dress in uniform Monday through Thursday during the school year (September through mid-June). Every Friday is a free dress day. Uniforms are not required during summer camp months.

All clothing should be marked with your child’s name. Open toed shoes are not appropriate or safe for activities at school and will not be allowed in the classroom or on the school grounds unless there is a special activity planned that would require such attire. Parents will be informed in advance regarding this type of event. An extra set of clothing is required in case of accidents or messy projects and activities. Please label this clothing and place it in a large plastic zip lock bag.

Do children have snacks during the day?

Yes, morning and afternoon snacks are included with tuition.

Is there a nap time?

Yes, children nap for about two hours after lunch. Nap time is from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. There is required nap gear which may be purchased at CWK.

What is the student to teacher ratio?

The State of California’s mandated ratio is 12 students to 1 teacher. The CWK ratio is 7 – 10 students to 1 teacher.

How are teachers screened?

Per state regulations all employees submit to a background check.
